Going to Vegas for first time in dec, just wandered how easy it was to get cash out using my English atm card ? are there any charges involved and is it safe to use?I am taking $ but may need some more if the wife gets carried away!! Thanks in advance.
atm'sThere are ATMs in Vegas. But there are charges associated with all ATMs in the US (except your home bank). Don%26#39;t use any of the ones in the casinos. If you are hiring a car, your best bet would be to go off strip to a local bank and use theirs.
Have a wonderful time and enjoy your trip!

atm'sYes it is easy...there are various atms around in the casinos and on the street that will take UK debit/bank/credit cards - the charges on the bank card will be up to your bank and according to the amount drawn usually...a couple of ££ or so depending ...
It may be worth you checking out Nationwide%26#39;s bank card - the first no foreign charges abroad card in the uk ! have a look on their website. Alot of people open an account and put money in it just to travel with.
Charges for using the casinos%26#39; ATM%26#39;s are $4.00-$4.99. However the one inside Casino Royale only charges $1.
There are no other fees if you use the Nationwide%26#39;s FlexAccount card and you get the full Interbank rate. We got $2.085-$2.103 at the beginning of November.
Other banks ';load'; there exchange rates and you will receive approx 2.75% less and also impose a fee.
Cheers guys great help.
I rended to use the one at ceasars world of shopping. they only have a nominal charge.
Charges can range between 50p to £1.50 plus upto 5% commision on certain debit cards.
