Please Help , Were Going TO Vegas DEC 9 -14 2007.STAYING AT THE LUXOR . I HAVE a few questions , how hard to get free room upgrades ?.............................................what restaurants have good food and decent prices.?........................................... close to luxor liquor stores and food store.?......................................good ways to get to freemont street.?..................................................thanks so much my good people , i`ll check

please help !!!

It%26#39;s hard to get a free upgrade when Vegas is teeming with people. You%26#39;re there during the big rodeo and since you are there for more than just a couple of days, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it%26#39;s doubtful you%26#39;ll get a freebie, doesn%26#39;t hurt to ask though. At the worst you%26#39;ll end up what you booked in the first place so no real loss if you don%26#39;t get it, just a nice bonus if you do.

please help !!!

dang , thanks for the info gabby

You are lost, before you started.

The Luxor Hotel is at the South end of the strip. Not far is Walgreen%26#39;s and CVS drug stores but they don%26#39;t sell liquor but they do sell snacks, soda and have a small grocery section. A walk away is the ABC store in the shopping center by Planet Hollywood. They do sell liquor.

You can ask for an upgrade but other people state it is a bad time due to the fact the hotel is probably booked. Just be your cute self and who knows? You can try the $20 trick.

The Luxor Hotel has many restaurants to choose from from cheap (McDonald%26#39;s) to expensive (Luxor Steakhouse). You decide.

You can take a cab or bus to Freemont Street. It depends on time and finances.

Have fun!

Since you are staying on weekdays, not weekend, I think you have an excellent chance at an upgrade. I just looked up prices for the Luxor that week and they are very reasonable. I do not think it will be super crowded at all.

I%26#39;m staying at Luxor the 9th-11th. Let%26#39;s keep our fingers crossed for free upgrades!

See you there.

Wait a second, the standard room is on the inside of the pyramid, at a slant. Do I really want to be upgraded out of something that cool?

As far as rooms go, you should be able to switch from a Pyramid to a Tower room or vice versa without being charged extra. Beyond that I think a free upgrade will be hard to come by, but it never hurts to ask.

La Salsa Cantina (if it%26#39;s still there after all the renovations) at Luxor has good food at very reasonable prices, and great margaritas too.

To get downtown from Luxor you%26#39;ll pretty much need to take a cab.
