MGM Hotel Pros

So for the first time in a long time I find myself feeling like a Vegas Virgin in regards to the hotel. I normally stay at Harrahs and/or TI. I recieved an offer for $340 including tax and free play for Feb 9-14 (yes that includes a Saturday) . I was so excited and booked it, pending any free nights I may get from Harrahs.

Ok so I have never stayed at MGM so what rooms should I aim for at check in? I will announce that its my 40th birthday, but will not try the $20 trick. A nice clean room is important to me not really the view anymore (although it sure is pretty). I do need 2 beds so I know some don%26#39;t have them.

Another question is about the spa. I was thinking of getting a treatment there my first day. Has anyone used it and was it worth it?

Thanks!!!!!!!

all rooms at mgm are updated, just take a regular grand room if you need two beds, they are nice and very clean.

MGM Hotel Pros

For two beds, start with a Grand Tower room. Then ask if any complimentary upgrades are available for the Bungalow Suite. If not, maybe ask how much to upgrade. Depending on occupancy you may get lucky.

Pictures on the website reflect the interiors. Most rooms are scheduled for upgrade to the new look MGM sometime early next year. The beds, linen, and pillows have already been upgraded.

Most have reported to be in heaven when in these beds!

Here%26#39;s a link to my Hollywood Suite from June to show you what the decor currently is:

Hallways are somewhat long, so maybe ask for something closer to the elevators. Go to the website and learn the floorplan if you haven%26#39;t been inside before. MGM has excellent signage, but some get lost in this huge Casino.

Never used the spa. Have a great stay in Vegas!

Be warend that at busy times you may not get your 2 room request nor your smoking request this is quite common

Thanks All!!!! I saw your pics Low and they are great. My biggest fear is I am at the wrong end of the strip for me. I like hanging out at the other end but will just take my friend the Deuce and I will be happy. I smoke and the others don%26#39;t so won%26#39;t bother me.

Close to the elevator Check. I will ask for that or will wait as I get there at 8am and probably will have to wait which is no biggie to me, I am in Vegas I can find something to do!!!!!

I love the spa at the MGM, it%26#39;s one of my favorites. I%26#39;ve had a couple of the ';rituals'; and they were outstanding.

Low,

Great pictures.

I had no problems getting my room at noon the day I went to check in at MGM, also got a room close to the elevators without a problem.

Like you, I like the other end of the strip, didn%26#39;t change my mind after my two days at MGM. That said, it%26#39;s a decent property, just not for me.

Nice Property

Love the rooms, the linens are great, you get 4 thick pillows and 1 huge pillow the size of 2 pillows which you can use as a bed rest.

MGM has a monorail stop so getting down the strip is too easy.

I always stay in a standard room in the Grand Tower. I might be just lucky, but I have stayed at MGM 11 Times and always ask for 2 beds and always received 2 beds.

I hope you enjoy your stay

(If it%26#39;s your birthday, you should get someone better looking, who turns tricks at higher than $20)

MGM Grand tower standard rooms are all the same, and they are nice. Ask nicely for the best view you can get, they will try to fix you up if available

Thank you zbeth!

vegasjunky4,

If you%26#39;re going to take multiple trips down to your favorite Harrahs properties and back, the monorail currently has a $9 special, available online for $9 for an unlimited 24 hour pass. Might be faster than the Duece. I used it 4 times in June, so the cost per trip was only $2. ($8 ticket at the time)

Easy access for me and the wife to Harrahs, Caesars, and the rest at that end.

Of course the Duece works, too. =)
