Kilted Scotsmen - What Bars/Nightclub to go to?

Three friends and myself are coming over to Las Vegas for a week (December 9th/15th) and one of us will be celebrating a birthday during that time. We%26#39;ve decided to bring our kilts and get dressed up and go out for the night to celebrate it.

Does anyone have any recomendations for good bars and a nightclub to go to?

We%26#39;re looking for a place with more of a party atmosphere that we wouldn%26#39;t have a problem getting in.

There is a bar/restuarant in Rio called Tilted Kilt. You%26#39;d fit right in there. Afterward you could go up to the top of the Rio to Voodoo Nightclub.

I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll be fine just sbout anywhere wearing a kilt, just be sure to leave your Sgian Dubhs at home.

My DH wore a kilt, properly (if you know what I mean) and had no probs getting in anywhere, hey you%26#39;re in Vegas afterall.

Carnaval Court has a fun party atmosphere- also the Bar at Times Square and 9 fine Irishmen at New York New York are pretty relaxed. As far as hotel bars go, Cenrtifuge at MGM is one of my favorites.

Go to the Hard Rock. Avoid the clubs there and stay in the central bar.

Always a good atmosphere in the bar and you will find making %26#39;friends%26#39; easy if you are all wearing kilts.

You can then either go on to Studio54 at MGM or Club Paradise, just opposite the Hard Rock.

If you want to avoid stuffy atmospheres then stay away from the LV super clubs such as Rain, Tao or any of the %26#39;Ultra Lounges%26#39;.

Agree with the suggestion of 9 Irishmen at NYNY, always good fun.

Hard Rock and Palms are both big party places but the vibe is more twentysomethings with lots of money rather than college hangouts. You won%26#39;t generally find that sort of thing in Vegas unless you head off the Strip to the neighborhoods around UNLV. Remember that a great many college students aren%26#39;t (officially) old enough to be bars or casinos.
