What drinks....

Just found out i am pregnant and woundering what non alcoholic cocktails any of you could recommend. I dont fancy sitting at the slots/tables with a bottle of water looking boring.

Thanks

Congratulations on your good news, but are you sure that a Vegas casino with its cigarette smoke is the best place to be for you to be during the next eight months or so? Even in the newer places on the Strip which have great ventilation and generally aren%26#39;t a problem for non smokers, the smoke is still around and potentially a danger to an unborn baby.

I%26#39;d think about postponing your trip until after the baby has safely arrived. That way you can drink whatever you desire when you%26#39;re gambling and have a totally clear conscience about your baby%26#39;s health too. Just my opinion...... :-)

BLagger

Fly out to vegas in 2 weeks and would loose all our money if canx so not reallyan option. believe it or not we dont actually spend that much time in the casinos gambling as there is so much else to do.

I don%26#39;t think that the smoke is any thing to worry about, yes some places might be a little smoky but then again I don%26#39;t know how many people grew up in a house were both parents smoked inside and around the kids. My parents did and my brothers and I turned out just fine.

Think you can ask for most cocktails ';virgin'; style - which basically means they come without the alcohol. Congratulations on your news and enjoy both LV and your baby. xx

madmand, if gambling isn%26#39;t such a big deal for you and you%26#39;ve got lots of other things to fill your time in Vegas then it shouldn%26#39;t be too much of a problem for you to avoid the casinos altogether. Fortunately for your baby, practically all other indoor spaces in LV are now non smoking.

Sorry if this isn%26#39;t what you want to hear. I%26#39;m an ex smoker and am totally tolerant to people smoking around me but unborn children don%26#39;t have any choice in the matter.

Madmand, we are off to Vegas in December and I too am pregnant (will be 4 months by the time we go). We have gone every year for the last 5 years so thought we would have one last trip before the baby arrives and it is some time before we can do it again!

Cocktails virgin style sounds good, other than that I guess its juices and soft drinks. I%26#39;ll just try not to look at the 3 people next to me with their beers!

i drink water all the time - even when gambling. why worry about what you ';look'; like? water is served to hundreds of people everyday in every casino. of course what you are drinking does not determine if you look boring.

you are an adult, drink what you want, when you want it, no matter what that is.

You can order a cola or clear pop (or even ginger ale) and ask for a twist of lemon or lime.

You can also order a slushy (daquari) I%26#39;m sure without the liquor.

I guess I don%26#39;t see the problem with drinking water since I do just that to keep hydrated.

there, i am sure, hundreds of options, from virgin margaritas, pina colodas, and daquiris....to juices, sodas...

i don%26#39;t have any specifics...as none of them have anything to do with scotch......lol

congrats on the news by the way.

Don%26#39;t worry about having water at the tables it%26#39;s the new thing. Plus when your in Vegas with the air conditioning/heating you get dehydrated easily even if you aren%26#39;t pregnant or drinking.

I don%26#39;t think the smoke will be a factor, if it gets smoky just move to another area or casino.

Congrats and have a great time.
