Dressing up in Vegas?

Hi,

I have heard that if you dress smarter in Vegas you get treated better in the casinos. Is this true??

Thanks!!!!!!

Dressing up in Vegas?

Treated better in what way? All they really care about in the cainos, if you%26#39;re gambling, is that you have the $$$ to spend.

Dressing up in Vegas?

Cold hard cash is all that counts.

Its just that I was told if you look the part you look like you have more cash to spend??

As I said in previous post, what you spend on gambling is ALL that matters and is the only thing that casino management care about regarding how gamblers are treated and looked after.

Even tho Cash is the only thing it speaks in casinos, I don%26#39;t think it hurts if you kinda dress up.

By that I don%26#39;t mean evening dress at 10 AM

I can%26#39;t remember ever noticing a difference in the way people were treated by the casinos judging by what they were wearing. Those who are at the high end tables may get better service, for example, but that is based on their gambling not on their clothes. There are people who may spend tens of thousands of dollars a day (or more) gambling but are dressed for comfort rather than to impress.

I suppose it could help but it is a ';put up or shut up'; situation. Wearing cocktail dress isn%26#39;t going to help you get better service if you are still playing penny slots with minimum bets or doing a $10 buffet dinner.

If I dress ';smart';, as you put it, I am more likely to feel and project more confidence than if I dress otherwise. Projecting a positive image always gets me better treatment...that includes a nice smile.

You may not find it at the tables but I would bet that you would be treated better in the bars, restaurants and stores.

I was ignored once in the Chanel store and I am convinced it was because I was dressed for walking on the strip on a hot afternoon, not to be shopping in a high end store.

the only ';better'; treatment in casinos that is important is winning more than losing - since the cards, dice %26amp; machines have no way of knowing how a player is dressed, the simple answer is ';no';.

I do believe in dressing appropriately and do think ';clothes make the man'; in many cases. in restaurants no doubt if you dressed appropriately it might matter on seating, or in other cases dress matters, in particular if in line for a club - dress defintely matters.

in a casino - no, not in what is important. Nice dress might get you noticed (as will poorly dressed) but any ';better'; treatment? - not as a rule. maybe an extra sandwich comp if you are close, nothing significant.

dress for yourself - wear what is appropriate.
