which is the best deal?

I am planning a second trip in September (1-5). these are the best deals i%26#39;m highly considering. if you were me, which one would you pick?please let me know. these are all for basic rooms.

Mirage 1-$109 Ballys 1- $80 Paris 1-$109 MB 1-140

2-$109 2- 80 2- $140 2-160

3-$109 3-80 3- 140

4-$ 129 4-80 4- 140

I appreciate all your input. Pool will probably play a factor in decision making, though not the kicker.

thanks

which is the best deal?

sorry, just to retype the prices again:

Mirage - $109, 109, 109, 129

Ballys- $80, 80,80,80

Paris- $109, 140, 140, 140

Mandalay Bay - $140, 160, 200 i think, 200

which is the best deal?

the way the text posted is confusing. you might reenter with the costs for each property listed. also, define what a ';deal'; is to you - is decision based strictly on $$? for me the best deal hinges on the total package a property offers - spa, shows, restaurants, pool - whatever my priorities are for that trip.

For the pool, Mandalay Bay is a great choice...touted to be the best pool in Vegas.

Hi yam,

From your choices, I%26#39;ve stayed at Bally%26#39;s, Paris, and Mandalay Bay. If I had to book based strictly on what you%26#39;ve shown....I%26#39;d choose between Paris and the Mirage (even though I%26#39;ve never stayed there....seems people like it on here).

Paris is a few notches above Bally%26#39;s in my opinion...it%26#39;s got a great location, nice rooms, huge bathrooms (I%26#39;m a girl so I love that!), and I just like the feel of the casino and hotel together. Even better if you can get a fountain view with the Eiffel tower....it%26#39;s great!!

Do you know if the Mandalay Bay Prices are for the Gold Class room (the 550) or just a regular resort room?? The prices seem high....I will say the Gold Rooms are NICE....but the location of Mandalay Bay is a slight negative in my book.

Based on price and location alone....my vote would be Paris and then Mirage.

Hope this helps a bit.....

Also....since you%26#39;re not going until next year....book directly with the hotel (whatever you end up choosing) as prices may come down before then and you can call and rebook at the lower price!

I agree with CO...you%26#39;re asking about a possible booking 10 months from now. The prices could change or your times may change.

COtravel, those prices for MB are for regular resort rooms only. the last two nights are a bit expensive i know, so i%26#39;m considering MB only for the first two nights ($140 %26amp; 160). My first trip in Vegas will be in January (South Point, 4Queens) I didn%26#39;t book on the strip since it is convention week that I%26#39;m there, I am not willing to pay $300/night to stay on the strip. So I am already planning my next trip which will def be on the strip to make up for lost ground! My wife and I love eating out at buffets but it wouldn%26#39;t be the deciding factor since we can at any buffet we like. the pool might play a bigger factor since we cannot swim at the hotel if we aren%26#39;t guests in it. BTW, we plan on watching Mystere and Barry Manilow concert for that trip. To add more confusion, the prices for TI for those days are: $ 129, 129, 129, 149.

yam.....those first two nights are definitely pricey at MB if they are for the resort rooms....knowing that and knowing this will be your first time staying on the Strip...I%26#39;d say to knock that choice off your list for another time.

I%26#39;d still stick with Paris or Mirage....even with TI thrown in the choices!!

SOOO happy you will be seeing Mystere...my favorite of all the shows I%26#39;ve seen, and that one I%26#39;ve seen 3 times now! You%26#39;ll love it....

Have fun with Trip #1....I just made it out to South Point for the first time this last trip and really liked it out there! I didn%26#39;t stay, but had a lot of fun visiting the Casino!

I would go with Mandalay Bay without thinking about it. It is a much nicer property than the others, and the past 3 times I have stayed there, we have recieved the new rooms (I actually think they are finished remodeling all of them and the ';lowest'; room is the 550 gold room).

Don%26#39;t worry at all about the location of MB - there is a tram that is free and stops at Luxor and Excalibur, and from there, you can walk across the street to MGM and the monorail (or just go there to get a cab if you want because it is cheaper!)

Enjoy!

Your best choice would be Paris or Bally%26#39;s due to it is close to the center of the strip which will make it more easier to get around on the strip. With that said, Mandalay Bay is a great choice also but it is so far south of the strip. Mirage has dingy rooms and very small bathrooms and is worn, so that is a little high for that kind of a room.
