driving school... drive a hummer ... can't remember where

Hi all,

I am certain I have read something on here about driving a hummer on a track or something to that effect.

I do not know what to even type into search, Hummer brought up rentals of Hummers.

or test driving a sports car on a track....

thinking my Brother in Law might enjoy that as he is difficult to buy for and is planning a trip to LV next year. Thought we might get him a gift cert or something to do that.

Google up Richard Petty driving experience. You drive actual NASCARs or just ride along. There is a track in Vegas that does this.

They used to have ';GM The Drive';..or something like that behind the Sahara.....where you could drive a Hummer or a sports car with an instructor (they had a normal track for the sports cars...and obstacle dirt type track for the Hummers)....but that closed awhile ago.

Not sure if there is something else out there......

BIG difference in price between the two. The Petty experience is $109 for a 3 lap ride-a-long. Or $399 for the Rookie experience where you actually get to drive a race car. Up to $4,249 for the most complete driving package.

The GM test track was $10 per lap in a Hummer or Corvette. No longer in operation.

Best way to get him a driving experience is to buy him a $20 red vest, have him wait outside the Wynn or Bellagio and wait for the car he wants to drive to show up. Pretends he%26#39;s the newest valet attendant and off he goes.

rotflmao!!!

Thanks Big Brother , but why did you remove a valid question concerning Christmas being asked of two people I know personally. So I%26#39;ll ask it again to keep you on your minimum wage toes.....

Cooper... are you giving your husband Mike a Hummer ( an American made super SUV) for Christmas?

You people need to get your minds out of the freaking gutter.

COTravelfan is right. That is the one you are talking about but it closed nearly a year ago. We did it and it was $10 a person. The men with us really got into this because they have this big dirt hill that you had to drive the hummer over.

Sher

oh doc V, I am ROLFL :)

Not for Mike, this is for my BIL next year for his birthday when my sis and him go :)

we will be there in a couple weeks, coming in on Fri night, leaving Mon morning I think, so, Gabby, we should be up for a m%26amp;G on Sunday now :) Mike is running the half marathon Sun morning, though, should be done by 10, see if I can drag his butt out -- keep in mind that AM the roads will all be closed due to the run, so, not sure if roads open by noon, I expect, but, who knows .... just getting to a M%26amp;G could be challenging if it is far away from where people are staying.

talk to you all later and hope to see some of you in a week or so
