I want to take the wife to Vegas for a couple of days in February. We havent been in many years and we had the kids the last time we went.We stayed at Circus Circus last time(traveled in our motor home) but found it to be far from all the action.Would love some ideas about a place to stay and things to do.Cost is not a huge thing,we want something nice in the middle of all the fun.The wife likes to gamble and I love great food, also like to party but not with teens(we are in our late 30';s) any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance...Peace SYOTR
Ditching the kids and heading to Sin City
If cost isn%26#39;t a huge thing, I would stay at Bellagio. If you can manage to go during the week, it will be even less. After that, I would consider Mirage. It has gotten some good reviews although the crowd is a bit younger.
Great Food - Mesa (Caesars); Delmonico (Venetian), Enoteca San Marco (Venetian), any at Bellagio and Rosemary%26#39;s off strip.

Stack at the Mirage is very good.
Also, take your wife to see LOVE at the Mirage, well worth the price of the tickets, fabulous show.
Pushing the season Gabby??? :)
Bellagio is like the high end, and a great place to stay and be around the grown ups.
if that is too high for you, try Paris
NY/NY great bars, Piano and NineFine Irishmen, Apple Bar, great gambling - not too expensive - great for 30-40ish crowd.
Late 30s nice time, nice room TI. It is small, around a lot of places and renovated rooms. There is a lot to do there and if you cannot find it there Mirage, Harrahs, Ventian are all right there.
Thanks so much!!The Bellagio looks like the perfect place but new york/new york realy looks like it might be our kind of place!!Reading the reviews it sounds like alot of fun.The rooms dont look as nice but how much time do you spend in your room. Thanks again.SYOTR
If you can afford Bellagio, it%26#39;s hard to top that option. I think you might find the demographic at NY/NY skews a litte younger than you might prefer. You might like the atmosphere at Harrah%26#39;s, which generally has a fun vibe and is in a good spot.
The good news is, any of the places that have been mentioned are light years better than Circus Circus.
purcellville - one of my fav places, a great community, great artists and horsemen. we have great friends in the area. I hope you had a chance to experience the town 20-50 years ago before the growth boom.
I%26#39;m not a bellagio fan - it has gone downhill in recent years. wynn or venetian worth considering. remember, the fun is where you are - no matter what is happening someplace else!
you can%26#39;t control the age or party atmosphere of a place, although certain properties such as HRH do draw some of the younger crowd - along with us old folks.
you should give us a price range and dates - LV rates change daily based on supply and demand, and you will have quite a range in february.
alize, rosemary%26#39;s, delmonico, olives may be good restaurant choices.
Going the first week of February, found a package deal 2 nights at the Bellagio and air for $900.00.That seems pretty good to me.The wife wants a nice place but doesnt want to have to dress to the nines 24/7.I havent booked yet,so still up for suggestions. Thanks again SYOTR
