Sigh...........that%26#39;s the size of bag I have to get everything I need for 5 days in Vegas in!
I wonder how many layers I can get by with wearing through the security check point at Heathrow!
The only shoes this woman is bringing will be the ones she%26#39;s wearing when she leaves home, black suede boots!!!
One bag, 22 in tall x 17.7 in wide x 10 in deep
Gabby....come with an empty bag and load up here in the states :)
Or take me back with you! LOL
One bag, 22 in tall x 17.7 in wide x 10 in deep
How about using those vacuum bags to pack? ChiTown says they work great and don%26#39;t wrinkle!
Not sure that%26#39;d be workable in a small carry on bag, Low. Plus, no time to get one of those vac type bags and I wouldn%26#39;t know where to find one over here, either!
Ducky, both my husband and I are bringing duffle bags folded up in that little carry on with our clothes so we can bring things back with us. I won%26#39;t be back in the US again til mid to late March, time to to stock up. I didn%26#39;t get to do the shopping I%26#39;d hoped to do when I was just back there, my mother ended up in the hospital with a fractured hip 3 days after I got to the US. I need make up, I need all kinds of things and it costs half in the US what it costs in the UK.
I really do think I%26#39;m going to try to wear several layers of clothing. I can take the extra ones off once through security and pop them in that extra bag!
So i guess that rules out the thigh high black leather boots????
I am taking a 26 inch bag and since part of me thinks it is too big, the other option of taking my huge duffle bag is also daunting....
My clothes take up a lot of space, and for 5 days of clothing, I don%26#39;t think i could fit it all in a smaller suitcase...plus,...I need room for my vegas gifts! :)
Gabby, does this mean you won%26#39;t be visiting the Red Shoe Boutique, even just to look? :-)
Surely Gabby you really don%26#39;t ';need'; make up.
Gee Gabby, it must be tough being you and having to rough it to Vegas. I hope this doesn%26#39;t sour your upcomomg trip.
One thought is you can do what my woman does and use half of my carry-on for her stuff. Martin won%26#39;t mind will he?
The size restriction on the bag is just for getting to the US, once there I%26#39;m planning to do some serious retail therapy! It%26#39;s all about priorities you know! ;)
The reason for this is simple, it%26#39;s the fault of American Airlines! We booked our tickets in July and then a couple of months ago they changed the flight times. We arrive in Chicago at 1PM (if it%26#39;s on time) and our flight to Vegas is 2:35PM. You never know how long the lines for Immigration and Customs are going to be or how long those will take. I%26#39;ve gotten through, gotten luggage off the carousel and been out of the International Terminal in about 20-30 min at times, at other times it%26#39;s taken well over an hour! Then once through all that, changing terminals and having to go through security again takes time. It%26#39;s going to take everything going smoothly and on time in order for us to make that connection. If we miss it, the next flight they have isn%26#39;t until 9:25 that night! We%26#39;ll have been up since midnight the night before east coast time so not making the connection is not a pleasant thought at all. Plus, I want to be having some slushies with Loomis and 21 player on Sat night, not sitting in O%26#39;Hare!
DrV, he%26#39;s only taking the one small carry on, too so doubties he%26#39;ll have room for anything of mine. This trip can%26#39;t be as rough as the flight I had a few days ago, I literally barfed my way across the Atlantic! It wasn%26#39;t pretty!
