Hi all. Sorry if this is a naff question but would somebody please explain these to me and how they work? They seem to be available more at higher end eateries. Would they represent good value? Im non too keen on mixing the grapes and most seem to. And a sneaky question but has anybody any experience of Gary Danko in San francisco? It has been recommended on their forum and scores high but a search on here stated he was only rated as 1 by michelin as the assessor didn%26#39;t like him!!! TIA :-)
wine pairing and tasting menus
I%26#39;ve been researching this as well. It seems the wine pairing is an ';add on'; to the tasting menu (Prix Fixe). I would suggest that you tell the waiter what your tastes are and ask for a recommendation for something that may compliment all the food choices. There seems to be many places to choose from - hope you enjoy your meal.
wine pairing and tasting menus
A wine pairing menu is a good value if you enjoy trying different wines. If your taste in wine is limited to only one or two varieties, then it%26#39;s probably not a good idea. You can almost always choose a wine that will complement more than one course of your meal.
