We leave about noon tomorrow for a short (3 nights) trip. We%26#39;re staying at Paris for the first time. Getting comped all three nights, but hope to upgrade at check-in to at least a remodeled room or one with a view. Tomorrow is our 14th wedding anniversary, so maybe they will do us a favor!
We have tickets to see Stomp tomorrow night. I bought the tickets online and paid full price, because I didn%26#39;t want to take the chance of not getting a seat. Hubby has wanted to see Stomp for years, and we missed them when they were in our nearby city.
We have no plans for Wednesday, but we will probably head over to Rio at some point to check out the Masquerade show. We may hang out at Rio for a while and go to Voodoo lounge (early). I printed out passes online, thanks to forum members who posted about it. Otherwise I wouldn%26#39;t have known. We may also check out the half-price tickets for Wednesday night, and if we can get something good, we%26#39;ll do that instead of Voodoo.
Thursday night we%26#39;re meeting two other couples for dinner at Boa%26#39;s. One guy is a college buddy of my husband, who just happens to be there at the same time we are, although we only overlap on Thursday night. He%26#39;s there to help a friend celebrate his 40th birthday, so we%26#39;ll hang out and party with them after Boa%26#39;s.
Also on my list of possibilities: a side trip to Bass Pro (hubby is a bass fisherman) or Pinball Hall of Fame, go to Margaritaville, maybe go up on the Eiffel Tower or eat at the restaurant, see Big Elvis, go to a comedy show, have a drink or two at Cleopatra%26#39;s Barge.
Obviously way too much to cram into three days!
I%26#39;ll report back on Saturday!
Pre-trip report
Happy Anniversary!! What a great way to celebrate- a trip to Vegas. Your plans sound great- you know what you want to see but you also know you are not going to accomplish all you planned to do! Leave some for the next trip! Have a great time and we will see you on Saturday!
Pre-trip report
If you have a car and can go to Silverton to see Bass Pro it is soo worth it. I love the Silverton and wish it was a little closer to the strip. Great odds for VP, fun casino, not to crowded and Bass Pro you cannot go wrong!!! Have a great trip and Im jealous.
I enjoyed reading your pre-trip write up since we are planning a family trip in December. I%26#39;m a little out of the loop in terms of places and activities. Can you tell me where you printed out those passes for the voodoo lounge (I%26#39;m new to this site)
. My son might like those. Also where is the Big Elvis?
Is it a show. I%26#39;d like to be a little organized before we go. I just ordered the LVA coupon booklet. thanks
Big Elvis is at Bills. It is in a lounge- really just part of the casino floor. He is very very good and very entertaining. Do not be put off by his weight. He puts on a great free show- just get there early if you want to have a seat-the area is small.

The Silverton is cool! I was there the other night and the males in our party were anxious to see the Bass shop....as well as Mermaids! (yes, there are mermaids). Enjoy your stay and happy anniversary!
